Our Story
Since 1994, Able-Aid has assisted thousands of residents throughout Essex with disability and specialist mobility needs. We understand that everybody’s needs are different. Be it for somebody facing a life-altering injury, a family member needing end-of-life care, or a temporary setback. We work with all our customers so that together, we can restore people’s confidence, comfort, and independence.
Our Services
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to people’s care and mobility needs. Each challenge needs to be considered and overcome in a way that works for you. That is why we not only offer the sale of our products but also the hire of equipment. Plus, through our extensive servicing options and post-purchase support, any accidents, breakdowns or damage will not hold you back for long.

That is why we offer a range of different services so that we can tailor your experience to your specific needs. Whether you need short-term hire to recover from an injury, have a family member in need of end-of-life care or need to refit your home to be suited to a new way of life, we have a solution fit for you.
Sale
All products listed on the Able-Aid website are available for purchase and can either be collected from our showroom or delivered to your door. For select products, we also offer home setup and installation for an added charge.
Every product purchased from us comes with a one year guarantee.
Hire
Be it a temporary setback, end-of-life care or you want to test whether a product is right for you, hiring can be a cost-effective alternative to regular purchases. Often, a time will come when clients no longer need a wheelchair, mobility scooter, or specialist piece of furniture.
We offer weekly and monthly rates for the hire of wheelchairs, scooters, and living aids that will help you get back on the move. Our furniture options are available for one monthly hire. All hired items come with the option of collection and delivery.
Service
Even the best products can go wrong. We offer service options on all mobility scooters, wheelchairs, rollators and more. Whether you are faced with a punctured tire, flat battery, faulty mechanism or damage, our team are always happy to take a look.
