Barleylands provides a fantastic day out for people of all ages. The park itself provides plenty of family fun, and the other businesses provide a diverse range of options for others. While access to individual onsite business’s may vary, the farm owners have made sure that the majority of the site is flat or ramped for better accessibility. The facilities provided for the disabled are extensive.
The village hosts a wide range of artisan shops, farm shops and nerd culture stores.
A wide array of eateries is available in the Barleylands Village. From snack bars, family-friendly cafes, and tea rooms to the culinary expertise of the Magic Mushroom.
There is plenty to do for people of all ages. The shopping is versatile, and the farm park is great for all ages. There are playparks for the kids and plenty of talks/shows that run throughout the weekend/holidays. Its worth checking to see if there are any special events on throughout the year.
The easiest access is via car. The 300 bus from Chelmsford to Thurrock runs through it.
Various farm animals reside onsite. From the traditional, you might expect cows and sheep, as well as meercats and birds.
Events such as the bird meet and greets provide great opportunities to learn. The onsite staff are able to explain much about the farm and the goings on around Barleylands. School trips run on-site too.
