Mobility Summary

Southend Pier is generally a good option for visitors with limited mobility. The pier is wide, flat, and well maintained, making it suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and those who need a steady walking surface. There is step-free access at the entrance, and the pier train provides an easy and comfortable way to reach the end without needing to walk the full length. Seating is available at intervals, allowing for regular rest stops. While it can get busy during peak times, overall the pier is accessible, scenic, and manageable for most people with mobility needs.
